Regional Manager – Positive Care Ireland – Leinster / Munster

Position: Regional Manager
Status: Full time
Reporting to: Director, Residential Services

JOB PURPOSE: The Regional Manager fulfils a support function for Positive Care Irelands Residential Services, by primarily overseeing the day to day running of units within their region and liaising with the Director of Services regarding same.

MAIN ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Audits – carrying out and evaluating audits within units and providing the unit manager concerned with a report indicating areas that may need to be strengthened.
Liaising with Managers and professionals
Arranging winter plans
Hearing appeals and assisting with potential grievance / disciplinary matters
Preparing for monitoring visits and inspections
Dealing with staff teams and conducting performance reviews
Operations, ensuring the smooth running and upkeep of all units within region
Attending meetings with Director of Operations
Dealing with referrals and intakes and establishing contacts to develop new business
Carrying out reviews and ensuring all reports are of high quality.
Checking daily logs/incidents etc.
Linking with training /recruitment
Interviewing for unit managers
Assisting in opening new units
Attend regional managers meetings

MISCELLEANEOUS: Any other such duties that may reasonably arise from time to time that are within the competence of the post-holder

QUALIFICATIONS:

Leaving Certificate and / or Equivalent
Post Leaving Certificate qualification in Social Care or equivalent
Fluency and excellent standard of written and spoken English
Proven excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Email packages

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Ideally 2-3 years’ experience, in a similar role within busy residential care services environment.
Ideally, proven track record of operating effectively within a similar working structure, i.e. dynamic company, providing residential care services, within health sector.

Excellent telephone manner, and Effective verbal communication skills
Ability to Deliver positive & professional support to role’s internal & external customers
Enthusiasm, and Ability to work as a dependable & positive team-member
Awareness of, and Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
Ability to strictly adhere to Process Requirements, and educate others of same.
Provision of high level of Accuracy, has strong Attention to Detail, and a Finisher.
Effective written communication skills, and efficient presentation of data
Organised; Capable of self-managing multiple priorities and meeting challenging deadlines
Problem-solving skills – proactive in anticipating issues & suggesting more developments
Quality – Ability to improve processes and implement change within areas of responsibility
Self-Starter; highly motivated, and Ability to work on own initiative as required
Comfortable with accepting direction, and taking responsibility/accountability as required
Flexibility; Responsiveness to busy environment, and Changing business requirements
