Residential Co-Ordinator/ P.I.C – Cumas New Ross

Objectives of the role:
The objectives of the role is the establishment, development, implementation and delivery of an effective, flexible, rights-based, person-centred service for individuals in our residential service. The Residential Co-Ordinator/ PIC will be required to work their rostered shifts in addition to having operational responsibility to deliver and develop a person-centred outcome focused service to HIQA standards within an equality rights-based framework. The successful candidate will already possess high levels of competence and will be able to demonstrate this through their qualification, in-depth knowledge of service provision and experience leading a team to meet regulatory requirements and a equality based practice.

Essential Skill Required;
Relevant Social Care Qualification
A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an adult disability residential setting
Full clean driving licence
First Responder Training
Manual Handling & People Moving Qualification
MAPA Training
Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults at Risk of Abuse Training
Fire Safety Training

Desirable Skills Required;
Experience of leading and managing teams
Extensive knowledge of the regulatory requirements for adult disability residential settings, in particular knowledge of statutory regulations, standards, role of person in charge and Health Act 2007
Knowledge of the Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act 2015
Knowledge of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
