We are looking to recruit the following position within Depaul Ireland Services

PART TIME BEFRIENDING COORDINATOR, Maternity Cover – 30 hours per week. Salary : €25,178 per annum.

We are looking to recruit a motivated individual who will coordinate our Community befriending programme for the ex-residents of our Back Lane service. Key aspects of the role are to induct, support and assist a group of volunteers to offer befriending services in the community to men leaving the Back lane homeless service. The co-ordinator with also be responsible for maintaining strong links with the Back Lane service on a day to day basis and facilitate and report on the befriending service.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of the need of vulnerable people to have strong social networks and support in the community. Experience of work with socially excluded groups is essential, preferably homeless services. Good networking skills, training skills and an understanding of the issues involved in lone working are desirable
